To celebrate the almost finish of the quilt room, mom's remission, and the back to blogging life I am hosting a giveaway.
I ended up with an extra copy of Homespun Magazine featuring Jamestown Landing from Bonnie Hunter.
Just leave a comment stating what Bonnie Hunter quilt is your favorite and I will pick a winner on Sunday evening.
Good luck.
Michelle
My favorite "Bonnie" quilt is the next one! LOL! I have completed Carolina Christmas, and Roll, Roll, Cotton Boll, and have just started a Blue Ridge Beauty. My Quilting Cave down cellar looks like a blueberry bomb went off!

My favorite Bonnie quilt is "Bricks and Stepping Stones." It was my "introduction" to Bonnie and the scrap users system which has opened up a whole new world of quilting for me. Piecing those bricks and four patches was so enjoyable - I just kept cranking them out and ended up with two quilts!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the giveaway opportunity! :-) Laura in Texas
I love all her quilts but my favorite is the Basket-Weave Strings. I have made 2 of them so far and will probably make more.

My current favorite is Bricks and Stepping Stones tied with Blue Ridge Beauty. So many neat quilt choices with detailed instructions. I would love the magazine as couldn't find it at my Barnes & Noble book store. They carry many Australian quilt mags but it wasn't among them. Rose in MN
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to pick my favorite Bonnie pattern. I have started the Double Irish Chain, a hexagon quilt and Bricks and Stepping Stones. I have my eye on Maverick Stars, several of the string quilts, Blue Ridge Beauty - OK- I want to make ALL of Bonnies quilts. I would love to have the instructions for the Jamestown Landing. Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI really like Double Delight but i have a big wish list of Bonnie's quilts
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Bonnie quilt? Oh my, where do I start. For charity quilts, I love her strip twist and crumbs. I love her Blue Ridge Beauty and hope to someday make it. I also love Smith Mountain Morning. I could go on and on and on, but I'll stop now.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore the way everyone's RRCB quilts are turning out! I haven't done it yet but the more I see the finished ones, the more I want to get started!
ReplyDeleteI did some of Bonnie's quilts,I used scraps from my DJ to make my Carolina crossroads ! The next quilt I want to make is a Blue Ridge Beauty!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance to win!

Pick a favorite? But that is absolutely impossible!!! I love them all!!! I would have to say though that one of my favorites is Blue Ridge Beauty - that's the quilt that caught my attention and drew me to Bonnie's sight. And my favorite mystery is Double Delight. I LOVE the Jamestown Landing and can't wait to make it! Thanks for the chance to win this elusive magazine!
ReplyDeleteOh yes - and happy to be a new follower of your blog too! =^..^=
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite would have to be Orange Crush. I have made several of Bonnie's quilts and have yet to find one I don't like.
ReplyDeleteShe really got me inspired to make scrappy quilts and to. Believe everything doesn't have to be perfect.
Welcome back.
My fav BH quilt is Blue Ridge Beauty and second place is RRCB. I would love to win this magazine. I've been on a mission to find it in the states and can't find a copy. Thanks for the chance.

So difficult to choose a favorite "Bonnie" quilt because I love them all! I guess I will choose Roll Roll Cotton Boll because I am finishing mine up, and it is so fabulous!
ReplyDeleteamymarieski@yahoo.com
Well they are ALL my favs since I have made them all except Floribunda and as soon as RRCB is gone I'm heading there. My favorite is Blue Ridge Beauty just because I so love blues. I have made so many of her listed quilts and just finished Rick Rack Nines and w/o her my life would be so EMPTY.

Hi there, I really gravitate to the Carolina Crossroads design! It's so hard to pick just one of Bonnie's designs though, she's extraordinarily talented and generous. I am grateful for your giveaway because I have looked for this magazine locally and have yet to find it. Thanks for the chance to win it. ~~Lisa
ReplyDeleteEach one of Bonnie's quilts that I finish are my new favourite. Sisters Nine Patch is on my bed and is my "fav" but now that I have the binding on Hopscotch/Butterscotch it is now my new "fav". How can any of Bonnie's quilts not be a favourite?
ReplyDeleteBarb
I like them all but Blue Ridge Beauty is my favorite...right now, anyway. LOL
ReplyDeleteI like them all. My first was the Bricks and Stepping Stones and the second was Pineapple Blossom. Need to start another, but what??? Would love to win your give-away. Thanks for the opportunity. Robert, in northern Iowa.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite quilt....all of them...lol... It is so nice to be among fellow stitchers who understand our need for fabric and thread.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is RRCB now if I could just get the courage to start it. Maybe when the kids go back to school.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Bonnie Hunter quilt is the RRCB so far, but sure there will be more that become favorites.
ReplyDeleteSharon J Ill.
I love all that Bonnie does. I think my favorite is Roll, Roll, Cotton Boll.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Bonnie Hunter quilt (so far) is Blue Ridge Beauty. I am saving fabric to make it as my next quilt to keep for myself!
ReplyDeleteI really like all things Bonnie Hunter but my favorite quilt is "Jared takes a wife", I made one in purple and green and gave it to a girlfriend for her B'd.
ReplyDeleteNow I have two RRCB to finish :0).
thanks for a chance to win the magazine and congratulations on things turning around in your life.
Happy sewing
My favorite Bonnie quilt that I've made is Orange Crush, because it meade me learn to love orange in quilts! (I've made Orange Crush, Carolina Christmas, Chriatmas Lights, and Roll Roll Cotton Boll.) My favorite Bonnie quilt that I've yet to make is Jamestown Landing, and I won't be able to make it until I win this giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting a comment at QuiltvilleChat. I have been looking for where to get ahold of a Homespun magazine to no avail...I CERTAINLY am crossing my fingers here!!!!
ReplyDeleteI believe Orange Crush is one of my all-time favorite Bonnie quilts; but like many others have said, it's SO difficult to pick just one favorite. I love that she pushes us into these teenie-tiny units and blocks; it makes for very amazing quilts.
I think my favorite is Perkiomen Daydreams. I started one, and one of these years I'll finish it! I've made a bunch of her quilts though, just finished RRCB.
ReplyDeleteBonnie Hunter has me doing things I have not done before. Instead of sewing and ending on the same piece of scrap fabric, I am not making new blocks for a second quilt as I do a BOM project. JJ in WA

ReplyDeleteProbably my favorite right now is Blue Ridge Beauty (only mine is red!). Thanks for the chance to win!!

It's hard to say which is my favorite Bonnie quilt. I've only done Christmas Lights so far and enjoyed making it. I'm really looking forward to making RRCB as I haven't made string blocks before and am looking forward to making them. I love being challenged and Bonnie's quilt definately does that. Thanks for giving me a chance to win the magazine.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Bonnie quilt so far is Star Struck because that is the only one I've finished. It is red, white and black and beautiful. I love everything she does and I love her. I'd adore having this magazine with her quilt in it.
ReplyDeleteIt's truly hard to pick a favorite as all of her quilts are AWESOME!! I am currently working on RRCB with Blue Ridge Beauty next unless I get my hands on the Jamestown Landing then it will be next. If I could only get my hands on Australian Homespun...hint,hint,hint...hahaha

Whatever quilt I am currently working on seems to always be my new favorite. I am currently piecing Bonnie's Perkeomen Daydreams, and I'm about 60% finished.

I love all Bonnie's quilts, but my first one to make was RRCB. If I had known how many small pieces was in it I might not have given it a try. Bonnie writes her quilt patterens in such a way that their not intimidating.
ReplyDeleteMy current favorite is the one I'm working on now, which is the Spiderweb string quilt which is on her website. It's really hard to choose just one, though!
ReplyDeleteHi Again!

Oh, what a FUN question...I can't wait to see all the answers. My favorite is the Carolina Crossroads, with my Orange Crush a close second.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance. OH, how I hope to win!
Lucy~
Starstruck is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteThat's liked trying to tell you who your favorite child is!!! I love them all ... each one is an adventure!! Maybe the RRCB - it's the only one I didn't get to make ... but I will!!
