Loyal Union Sampler Month 2

I am a little behind but here are the May blocks for Loyal Union Sampler. Good news is I already have June scheduled to post so I will be on schedule.

These blocks are still a little bit persnickety but I really love doing them.

A2 - Abigail's Swing - This one was with templates and set in seams. I should have done by hand but didn't so it is a little puffy. I can live with it though.

A6 - Augusta - Another pesky one. Trying to line up those points was a little tricky.

A11 - Broken Window - Kind of nice after the previous ones. Still thinking about doing it over because I keep losing my points. This is the last one in the A row.

B1 - California - I ended up using the flip and stitch method to get my black squares. Much easier than set in seams and I don't mind the seams.

B2 - Camp Curtin - Nice to have another simple one. Start to look forward to these after awhiile.

B3 - Campfire - A few pieces but nothing hard.

B5 - Chambersburg - Square in a Square - Nothing to it.

B6 - Charlie Stokey's Star - This one was a tad difficult. I didn't want to deal with the set in seams so I used the stitch and flip method on the white fabric and the dark pink one. The fabrics didn't look like they blended so much before I started. Afterwards, forget it. I can live with it. I was not remaking this block.

June we will finish row B and start on row C. Pretty soon 2 rows done. Yay.

I finished my fingerless mitts.

I received by Giftables from the Loopy Ewe.  Mrs. Crosby Loves to Play Hat Box in Swiss Mountain Stream. Which is 377 yards. It also came with some lip balm and bee bar lotion from Honey House Naturals. I can't wait to try it out.

Who must make progress but is having a hard time.

Handwork

Really I am. I am working on tons of different things it just doesn't seem like I am making progress.

I finished my first Bertie's
May - Berties

I did it all with the blanket stitch. It is all on flannel and it was handwork. I really enjoy it but don't do a bunch of it. I have to have time to knit too. I have the June block fused down and ready to go but I was side tracked with some other projects.

I'll save those for later. Besides, I can't find the pictures. I think they are on my phone so I have to figure out how to transfer them to the computer.

Have a great weekend everyone.

On the Needles 5/30/14

I have a finish. I do. I do.

I finally finished the fingerless mitts I was doing. So that will be really nice for my stash numbers, until add the dream club that came in. Oh well! What can you do?

Made with Liberty Wool

I am now ready for Camp Loopy when it starts on Sunday. I am still trying to figure out what yarn to use.

I am making the Wingspan.  What yarn do you think? I am leaning towards the blue because it has more than 400 yards on it (which is the minimum for the challenge) but I bought the black/red. Which is self striping. Hmmm....decisions, decisions.

Off to do some things around the house so I can knit all day Sunday. By then I am sure my body will need it.

On The Needles 5/16/2014

I can't believe it has been almost a month since I last posted. I guess time does fly when you are busy. I think I am going to have to change my routine around a little bit so that I can post more.

I haven't done as much knitting as usual. I have been working with wool and doing some blanket stitching on flannel as well not to mention the applique. I'm sure that will change a little bit next month with the Loopy Camp starting.

Let the updating begin.

I finished a cowl. It is Malabrgio Neck Thingie from Ravelry. I used Liberty Wool instead.

I finished my first hats for sailors, it came out smaller than I thought. I figure it will still work for someone.

It's is actually a Navy blue. Cascade super wash named In The Navy.

I am trying furiously to finish the next finger less glove before Camp Loopy begins. Hope I can get it done.

I have my Camp Loopy yarn and some other yarn that accidentally ended up in my cart. Come back for the report and I will show you the rascals.

For more eye candy head on over to Judy's.

Have a Blessed weekend,
Michelle
