I decided that with how many projects I am doing that don't really count yardage yet I would only post a stash report once a month. This might change down the road but for now I think this is good.
My last report was 5/26..so this one is a little bit more than a month.
I did finish my Plan C Schnibble top so that can be counted out but that is about it...a heck of a lot came in...but what's new right.
So here are my numbers for the time frame
Used this Month: 6.925 yards
Used year to Date: 108.21 yards
Added
this Month: 24.465 yards
Added Year to Date:
152.055 yards
Net Used for 2012: -43.85 yards
I am hoping to get more of this stuff out of here. Since I am working on Waldo Canyon quilts for Colorado and Utah (more information here at Julie's as well) my numbers should be going out of the red soon.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Stash Report Week 21 - 5/20/2012
Well I did get a finish this week. It is not a lot of fabric but it was used none the less.
I finished Raspberry Swirl for Jo's club and it used a total of 2.5. I did use most of my stash but bought backing fabric for it and then Vintage Modern precuts came in so I had to scoop up a couple of those. So with the jelly roll and 2 charm packs I ended up bringing in 6.25. Still one step forward and ten back with me but oh well.
I also finished most of my DJ blocks for this month. I still have 3 to do one to hand piece and 2 to applique so hopefully I can finish those this week. I am now going to ..hopefully...load a quilt on the frame and then get busy working on Sylvia's.
Used this Week: 2.5 yards
Used year to Date: 101.29 yards
Added this Week: 6.25 yards
Added Year to Date: 127.59 yards
Net Used for 2012: -26.3 yards
Maybe I can actually get some stuff done this week and my numbers will improve. I have a ton to quilt..I really should take the time to count how many but that may be a little bit scary. I also still have Orca Bay that needs the binding done as well.
Off to sew. I have a few more peaceful moments by myself...the clan went to the movies to see Battleship.
Have a great day.

Vintage Modern..waiting for the yardage so I can figure out what I want to do with them.
Dear Jane for June...only 3 more to go.

Stash Report 5/13/12 - A Finish Too
Hoping everyone a Happy Mother's Day...mine will be spent sewing. I sent hubsters off this morning to the airport for the week, he will be in VA for work. So it will be a little busier week for me since I will be both mom and dad..oh well nothing new on that front..just haven't had to do it for awhile.
Well I finally have a finish..it took me awhile but it is done. This is my QOV #3...
Used this Week: 24.84 yards
Used year to Date: 98.79 yards

Well I finally have a finish..it took me awhile but it is done. This is my QOV #3...
I even labeled it....It is kind of hard so see since I already washed it but. I used a CD for labels that I have. I ran a fabric sheet through the printer then I used colored pencils to color it in then my fabric pen to write, heat set it and slapped the puppy on and off to the washer it went. I was glad that it didn't really fade. I used two color catchers as well...they came out a little red but not too bad considering I don't pre-wash my fabric.
I am hoping to get another QOV on the frame today and get working on some of my SBS or DJ blocks although honestly I would really rather work on something fun and totally for me today...hmm since it is Mother's Day I might just do that.
Since most of my shows are over maybe I can spend some more time in the studio....yeah right.
I ended up using 4.5 yards for the backing and .5 yards for the binding so my numbers this week have changed...one of these days I will be on the good .....but nothing came in this week so that is a plus in my book.

Stash Report 4/29/2012
I havent reported in almost a month. The first two weeks I didn't do any sewing...after that I was busier than busy. Football season started for the little one and I was also really busy trying not to do the things that needed to be done so I wasted a lot of time., but I think I am back on track. Well, maybe not totally on track but I just decided that things aren't going to get done if I don't do them. It doesn't matter if I like to do it or not but if I just spend a few minutes everyday doing something it will become a habit. Believe it or not just doing 10-15 minutes of something (sewing, knitting, applique, cleaning) every day...by end of the week you will be amazed at how much you get done. I have a tendency to get side tracked on the computer (farmville anyone). So now with the new motto I have been able to cut kits, finish a couple rows of knitting, crocheting, still working on some of the cleaning though, and I feel tons better.
Anywho, back to the reason for the post. I finished a couple of tops this week. I have the binding on my Orca Bay and can't wait until that is done (might be awhile....binding takes me forever). I also miscounted some fq's a couple of weeks ago, couldn't read my hand writing and I couldn't remember buying 60 FQ's..well a couple of days later I remembered---- I knocked over a brand new FQ tower I bought...my fabric doesn't even let me forget.
I have almost all of my blocks done for Dear Jane this month as well, just need to finish appliqueing two of them...I really need to force myself to finish them by Wed.
Used this Week: 19.84 yards
Used year to Date: 93.79 yards
Added this Week: 48.84 yards
Added Year to Date: 121.34 yards
Net Used for 2012: -27.55 yards
Not the greatest numbers but I did buy all of the fabric to make the top of my Sylvias Bridal Sampler...I have 2 more QOV to finish this week---one needs the binding the other needs quilting, and I have one more ready to piece together....now if I could just get busy....

Stash Report Week 11, 3/11/12
I didn't post a report last week since I didn't get anything done the week before. I also spent all last Sunday knitting.
I also decided to change how I report. I was reporting once the quilt was completely done, but that wasn't showing much. I am now going to report when the top is done, top is quilted, and then when binding is put on (this part seems to take me forever). I was quit busy this past week, sewing and spending. Oh well what can you do.
I did finish 3 quilt tops this week.
Used this Week: 25.125 yards
Used year to Date: 73.95 yards
Added this Week: 30.125 yards
Added Year to Date: 72.5 yards
Net Used for 2012: 1.45 yards
I am still on the good side, barely. I guess I better get busy sewing. Bad news is I work everyday but one this week so I seriously doubt I will get a lot done. Good news is I have almost a week off at the end of the month.

Stash Report Week 7 and 8 - 2/19/2012
I was out of town last week during stash reporting so this week I will combine the two weeks. I didn't get as much done as I wanted but I can count the two QOV that I finished, you can see those here. I also completely finished my It's a Hoot. I also am going to include the yardage for Happily Every After..I ended up taking just the top into work and not quilting it and it could be a year or more before I get it back.
I am hoping to get some more work done on another QOV I am working on and a top I cut quit a few months ago which is black and yellow. I have been using this as a leader and ender between my Picnic QOV...I have a feeling though that these will both have to take a back seat this week since I still have 8 DJ blocks to finish in the next two weeks.
I did add a little bit of fabric to my stash...while up in Denver we went to Harriet's Treadle Arts and picked up a dandy little pack of fabric...these are all 1/8 yd cuts.
I also picked up a jelly roll and a couple of charm packs..they are in the more modern color range and I am thinking of using these in my future Farmer's Wife quilt. I was at a LQS this week as well and they had their Civil War fabrics 35% off so I picked up the backing to my Civil War Chronicles quilt as well (it was just too good to pass up).
Used this Week: 15.65 yards
Used year to Date: 48.825 yards
Added this Week: 15.25 yards
Added Year to Date: 42.375 yards
Net Used for 2012: 6.45 yards
Maybe one of these days I will get my numbers to look really good. For other stash reports head on over to Patchwork Times.

Stash Report Week 6 - 2/5/2012
I had some good numbers this week, but alas I am still bringing more in....oh well.
I bought some backing for my Orca Bay. I didn't want to piece it since there are so many seams on the front. It goes to the long armer tomorrow.
I bought 10 yards of background for a new project. I am going to be teaching Sylvia's Bridal Sampler in the fall and I actually want to have this one done before hand. So between my other projects and Dear Jane this will be another long term project. I figure these blocks will seem huge since they are 6" compared to DJ 4.5".
I also bought a charm pack in some brights, this will hopefully be used in my future Farmers Wife.
I also included my numbers in this weeks stash report for last months BOM that I picked up. Will I ever get those BOM done and caught up. Who knows. One can only hope.
I did get some projects done so that is good. I will show those at a later date.
I finished two pillowcase for my 2 QOV quilts. I only need to add labels and they can be mailed out...yay...I only have 10 more to make before the end of the year. Not bad for a busy week.
So here are my numbers for the week.
Used this Week: 21.25 yards
Used year to Date: 33.175 yards
Added this Week: 23.125 yards
Added Year to Date: 27.125 yards
Net Used for 2012: 6.05 yards
My two QOV are the same, one is in yellow (shown below) and the other is in purple. I know they are a little bit girly but I think they will still serve a purpose.
For more stash reports head on over to Patchwork Times.
Off to do more sewing now before Super Bowl.
Have a wonderful week everyone.

Stash Report Week 5 - 2012
I was busy this week I just don't have a lot to show for it. I won't be counting fabric out until the quilt is completely done. So me thinks I better get busy. I have also decided to count my BOM on the first stash report of the following month, that will give me time to add up the fabric. So I am already thinking my next stash report will be awful.

I did get the kits for these done, so I can take these bolts back to work.
I still have to finish kitting up this mess.
Once this is kitted up all of these can go back to the shop. 82 bolts don't seem to take up a lot of room but they really do.
It is really hard to get to the design wall, but I am hoping that will change this week. Although I do work almost every day this week. I hope to have more progress to show you tomorrow during design wall Monday. For more stash reports head on over to Judy's

Stash Report Week 4
I have been doing a lot this week it just doesn't seem to be counting towards anything. I finished cutting 60 kits for our Generals Wive's BOM and some extra fabric needed for our Cotton Club BOM.
I did get some of my BOM kits but I haven't figured out where I am going to put the fabric for that so figure I will decide that by the end of the month.
So I did pretty good this week. I had one small finish you can see here. Which used a charm pack and a 1/2 yard of fabric. I also have some progress so show this week on my Orca Bay.
I bought 1/2 yard of some background fabric. I wanted some before it was gone at the shop and it was selling like hot cakes.
So here are my numbers for the week.
Used this Week: 1.8 yards
Used year to Date: 11.925 yards
Added this Week: .5 yards
Added Year to Date: 4 yards
Net Used for 2012: 7.925 yards
Good news is that I am still using more than buying..well..until I add my BOM....oh well can't win for losing.

Stash Report Week 1 & 2, 2012
I am a little behind in starting the new year so I am reporting last weeks as well as this weeks.
Week 1 - Simple, since I didn't get anything of importance done.
Used this Week: 0 yards
Used year to Date: 0 yards
Added this Week: 0 yards
Added Year to Date: 0 yards
Net Used for 2012: 0 yards
Week 2 - I actually made some progress. I finished a wall hanging for charm school, it's not real big but it still counts.
Used this Week: 1.875 yards
Used year to Date: 1.875 yards
Added this Week: 0 yards
Added Year to Date: 0 yards
Net Used for 2012: 1.875 yards
The top two photos are for our charm school at High Country Quilts where I work. We do a class every month using one pack of charms. I ended up getting scheduled for Dec, Jan and Feb. So I at least will have a few finishes early this year.
The following photos are from Decembers class. It was a last minute project since we forgot about the class. I started it Saturday night and finished the same night, ready to take to work that Monday. This pattern is from GE Designs and it a quilt as you go, so it was EZ PZ to finish.

If I wouldn't have hurt my back and football wasn't on yesterday I would have had another trio of projects done. I will be working on them this evening since I have to have them for work tomorrow. At least I know I will have some more yardage to report next week.
I hope everyone had a quilty day.
