I have tons of stuff on the needles but I haven't taken pictures yet. So I will just show what I finished in the last couple of days.
Not the best picture but I don't seem to have enough light in the basement. I found a link through Facebook that was asking for 1000 hats by Jan 21 for Michigan babies so I thought what the heck. This is an acrylic yarn (which was requested) and of course it is red, also requested. I ended up knitting one and crocheting 3. I haven't crocheted in a long time and I really can't do it very often since it really hurts my hands, but these hats only took my maybe 15 minutes each. It was really not bad at all. Just pretend to watch TV with the hubster and I am good to go.
Then, I received a lovely Christmas present from Mary, who is a student in my Loyal Union Quilting Class. It was a lovely skein of Blue Ridge Yarns - Boysenberry and a pattern to go with it. The other students challenged my to have it done before our class in January. So of course I took on the challenge. I finished it yesterday. So it is my first finish of the New Year. Now if only I could get my other projects done as fast.
Hoping everyone gets a lot accomplished in the next year.
For more goodies head on over to Judy's.
Hope to have plenty more to show this next year.

Cute hats and beautiful cowl... love those colors!
ReplyDeleteThank you. It was nice to do something simple.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cowl! And your hats are too cute!
ReplyDeleteNice yarn and cowl. I too have to be careful crocheting because of my hands. I've had surgery on both wrists and one thumb and I don't want a repeat. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteNever had the surgery. I quit my job before it became a bigger issue. My wrists don't bug me to much know it is the thumbs and the tennis elbow. Go figure.
DeleteCute hats. The cowl looks varigated and very soft. What was the type of yarn and pattern you used for your shawl. I can see you do very well when you receive a challenge.
ReplyDeleteBlue Ridge Yarns Kaleidoscope Worsted in Boysenberry. The pattern is Blue Roan Bella Cowl.
DeleteNice work on the hats! Love the cowl.
